Creamy Chicken Pasta

This Creamy Chicken Pasta is a simple dinner dish that will be an easy crowd pleaser you’ll want to make over and over again. With bowtie (or farfalle) pasta, chicken, spinach, and a delicious, Italian inspired cream sauce, this will be a family favorite that is perfect as an easy weeknight dinner. It’s easy to make a big batch for a Sunday family get-together too!

The creamy white sauce is the real star of this Creamy Chicken Pasta dish. It blends together parmesan cheese, garlic, and Italian seasoning which pairs perfectly with the baby spinach and shredded chicken.

There’s plenty of ways to enjoy this Creamy Chicken Pasta recipe. You can mix up the pasta that you use. Bowtie pasta is great for this recipe as the wide pasta holds the sauce well and it’s aesthetically pleasing, but you can really use any pasta that you want; penne pasta works great for this too! You can also elect to use sliced chicken breast as opposed to shredded chicken.

Ingredients to Make Creamy Chicken Pasta:

  • bowtie pasta
  • butter
  • garlic
  • flour
  • chicken broth
  • heavy cream
  • lemon juice
  • parsley
  • italian seasoning
  • shredded chicken
  • parmesan cheese
  • baby spinach

How to Make Creamy Chicken Pasta:

  1. In a large pot of boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  2. In a large, deep skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the garlic. Once fragrant add the flour to make a roux.
  3. Slowly add the chicken broth and mix until well combined and cook until it begins to thicken. Then add the heavy cream, lemon juice, parsley and italian seasoning.
  4. Add in the baby spinach and cook until it just begins to wilt. Add the shredded chicken, pasta and parmesan cheese and mix until everything is evenly covered with the cream sauce then serve.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces bowtie pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 2 cup shredded chicken
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
