Substitutions for Citrus Marinated Chicken Tacos

Chicken Thighs: you can substitute the chicken thighs for chicken breasts or even chicken tenderloins depending on your preference. Red Onion: you can also use any kind of onion however the red onion brings a more sweet taste to the dish than other kinds. Jalapeno: if you or your family are not huge fans of spice, leave out the jalapeno. Toppings: top off these tacos with a sweet salsa recipe or some sour cream.

Refrigerator: Store the chicken in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator. When ready to eat, heat in a skillet on the stove with some olive oil. Freezer: You can freeze the chicken in a freezer bag for up to six months. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator for a day before reheating. Then heat in a skillet on the stove with some olive oil.
